#BeTheLIGHT - Microgoals

As we get ready to start formative assessment 4, I would like to challenge you to think about how you will guide students through the reflection process on their performance.  What questions will you ask, and more importantly how will you help students use their answers to drive their own response to assessment?

Microgoaling is a process that students and adults use to set specific behavioral or learning goals that support their overall +10 goal.  Here are a few questions you can use to drive the microgoaling process.

• How much growth did you make from
  
  your last FA or from your last year's STAAR score?
• Which skills showed great work?
• Which skills are still holding you back?
• What specific actions do you need to work on to reach your goal?
• What can I do to help you reach that goal?

Book Study - For the month of February, we will begin Chapter 2 in our book study, on "Starting a Movement".  We look forward to your feedback to questions this month.

Article - How to Spend Way Less Time on Email Every Day

Cybersecurity 
There is a new law that requires all school employees to be trained on cybersecurity this year.  You will receive an email on a REQUIRED cybersecurity training that must be completed in the next 90 days.  On the February 17 Professional Learning Day, we will allocate 1 hour for all staff to complete this training.  If you complete the training prior to this date, you will not be required to attend the training on February 17.
