In this week's post, I want to encourage you to explore different ways to get information from your students at the end of the period that tells you what they learned at the end of the period through an Exit Ticket (click here).. It could be a thumbs up feedback prompts, or it could be asking for feedback or answering a question on a post-it note. It could be a MentiMeter or Plickers activity. This week, post questions that tell you what level of rigor students are at in their learning.
In the picture to the right, you see an Exit Ticket that Gina Dodge did with students at Libby. This involves post-it notes and the students left their answer on the dry erase board at they exited the library.

Our metal is tested in times of challenge, not times of success. This month is No Excuse November, and I challenge you to join me in eliminating excuses that we are so quick to throw up when we encounter difficulty. The biggest excuse is the excuse of not having enough time.
That’s an excuse that I am prone to throw up every now and then, but I have to remind myself that someone better and more effective than me has the same amount of time as me and they are getting the job done. So when it comes to the excuse of time, I must ask myself where I am wasting it, not where can I find more of it.

Formative Assessment Week is next week. Here are the instructions to analyze your data.
Monday, November 11 is a Professional Learning Day.
- We will provide breakfast at 7:30.
- We will start at 8:00 in the commons and then work into groups until 10:30.
- Campus principals will give you instructions for the learning day activities from 10:30 - 3:30.
- Core teachers need to be prepared to work on the 8-12 essential skills.
- Everyone bring your chromebook to the training charged and ready to use.

| Mrs. Koch and Mrs. Isbell teamed up to have both classes work together in the same room in this collaborative learning activity on Google searches in Chromebooks! Way to go Amber & Allison |
- All Ladydawg Volleyball teams are the district champs. 7A, 8A, 9th, JV & Varsity
- The CHS Ladydogs Varsity Volleyball team won district championship and tied a school record 35 wins.
- The Bulldogs are a perfect 8-0 with 2 district games remaining before playoffs!
- The Boys Cross Country Team qualified for the State Meet in Round Rock.
- The Bulldog Band won a Straight 1's First Division rating at UIL Marching Contest.
- The Choir has 16 students make the All Region Choir, 6 make the JH Choir, and several more in the Honor Choir.
