Week 2.4 Coming Up

#LoveWell - Patience with Data
Data is information, not condemnation.  We knew that our students may be behind due to the 4 slides:  COVID, Summer, Digital, and At-Home-Learning.  In some cases our kids are behind, but in many cases they are not. In fact, some kids are ahead!

 As you prepare for the 2nd 6 weeks formative assessment, NEVER FORGET that we are chasing GROWTH, not a score.  In the 2nd 6 weeks, our goal is clear.  We want EVERY child to grow from their 1st 6 weeks performance. I believe in you! 

If your data is frustrating you, change your perspective.  The purpose of data is to reveal our strengths and areas for growth.  I am excited about the data, and I am excited about the work we are doing to ensure that all children grow in their learning.  Keep your head up!

If you're overwhelmed, be patient, be brave and be courageous.  NEVER FORGET that we'll get through this.  We will see the light.  Watch this TobyMac video.  It is very encouraging.

Announcements

• October 12th is NATIONAL CAFETERIA WORKERS DAY!  Take some time next Tuesday to recognize their efforts to support teachers and students in their own special way. 
• Progress Reports go out this week.  Teaming up with parents is the best way for us to achieve our goal of providing a first class education for ALL students.  
• Homecoming has been a great week at CHS as well as throughout the district.

Bond Election Early Voting Times

If you or others would like to vote in the bond election next week, here are the times for early voting at the CISD Administration Building next week.

• Tuesday, October 13 from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m.
• Wednesday, October 14 from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m.
• Thursday, October 15  from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m.
• Friday, October 16 from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m.
