Week 8 of Closure

The end of the year is 2 weeks away and it seems like there is a lot to do.  In the announcements below, there is a list of things for you to review.  Also, there is a just a short window of time to connect with our kids before summer.  I encourage you to use the last 2 weeks to let the kids and their parents know just how much you appreciate them and will miss them this summer.

Safety in the Building
The Governor relaxed restrictions at Tuesday's press conference, and the commissioner of education clarified that information even more.  Here is a list of information that applies to what we can do currently:

• Face to Face graduation can be held with social distancing measures beginning June 1 at the stadium.  No graduation can occur inside a building.
• Parents and students can come to the school for non-instructional purposes with social distancing protocols (more guidance will come from principals)
• Employees should continue to practice social distancing protocols which include staying 6 feet apart, wearing masks or face coverings, and washing hands.

CISD will have staggered office hours for administrators and office staff where each office will be staff with at least one administrator and one office staff member each day through the end of the school year.  Beginning on May 26, we will begin summer office hours which are Monday - Thursday from 7:30 - 4:30.  

Announcements

• FlipGrid for Retirees - CLICK HERE if you would like to leave our retirees a FlipGrid message wishing them the best in their retirement.
• Checks and check stubs were mailed to your address on file.  If you did not receive it, contact the business office.
• Teachers need to submit work orders of items in their room to principals before the end of the year.
• Completely pick up the room and remove unnecessary items for summer cleaning.
• If anyone has earned or will earn a master’s degree, please report that information to Dr. Porter. This will be reported to payroll.
• If you have a change of address, please notify the business office.
• Remove personal technology from the classroom.
• Teachers who are not returning need to complete the exit interview which includes returning keys and other items.
